the forklift

these two photos were both taken on the second week of june- time of festivities. can you notice the acrobats walking on sticks, the womanwith the pink flag and the humpty dumpties? no. why? because that yellow forklift was always there blocking the view, stealing the scene. for at least three weeks. each time i looked out of the window to see what was going on, i just found myself taking photos of the forklift. it sure was the most interesting thing to see on istiklal street, and i miss it now, wherever it may roam (probably somewhere between starbucks and gloria jeans’ where it won’t find the attention it deserves.)

very sorry to interfere :) but that’s a compact excavator, probably from JCB :D

forklifts are small and only lift stuff up whereas these make small channels in the ground…

i find it phenomenal that they have been repairing this street since my childhood… and she still ain’t done yet !
