Winter Flirt

The locals will tell you this is one of the weirdest winters in recent memories. Up until a few days ago it was almost beach weather…blue skies and balmy, now we are flirting with snow. It is still not cold enough to stick around, but maybe we will finally see a little of the famous Istanbul winters we have heard about. Figures…just yesterday I saw beachwear out on the shelves. Thanks to my buddy “Pete” for the photo of previous years snow from the same sitesi.

That’s the strangest thing! Here, in Sweden, we have barely seen the glimpse of any snow. It has been the warmest winter in a hundred years or so, I’ve been told.. There’s something about the weather, for sure..

Anyway, I got here looking for pictures of turkey. I have been wanting to go for a few years now. It seems like such an interesting country!
I was over there once, when I was quite little, but it was with my family and it was in a tourist area. Dull, to say the least..
I would like to see the real country, just have to try and gather up some money.

    Great blog, anyway!
    Erik.
