Many Districts of Istanbul

One thing I have enjoyed while walking around Istanbul is encountering the many different “districts” of Istanbul. By district I mean various streets that seem to specialize in certain products: scuba gear, photography, toilet seats, tshirts, barbeque grills, animals, etc.

If you know where to look for what you want, there seems to be a street that will have multiple stores ready to do business.

I hope – and kind of guess from reading this post – that you have been in Karaköy. A remarkable place.

Yes, probably Hexodus was in Karaköy-Eminönü area.
I recommend everyone to be in Karaköy and Eminönü in the very early hours of the morning (Not later than 6-7am). Only then you can realy see and enjoy the beauty of those streets, buildings. During day time that hectic crowd, turmoil, cars, street vendors, all those noises prevents one seeing other face of these areas.
