‘UNESCO grants Istanbul two more years…

* According to an NTVMSNBC news, ‘UNESCO has voiced opposition to projects such as Galataport and Dubai Towers, which it says would ruin the silhouette of Istanbul. UNESCO has decided not to drop Istanbul from its World Heritage List for another two years at its meeting in the capital of Lithuania……… Well, we have two more years to waste…
* Istanbul’s First Guidebook Documentary Released in the mean time. A 35-minute documentary titled ‘Istanbul for Aficionados’ has been produced, which provides tourists with a guidebook-like tour of Istanbul according to Zaman daily
* I had come across a site called Virtual Istanbul. It seems that the site needs more construction work though…
* Finally, Turkish Daily News has made a good interview with the president of Bilgi University, Aydin Ugur. Prof. Ugur talks about how Bilgi University transforms Roma neighborhood (Ku┼čtepe) into center of attraction…
