Istanbul map


In a subway you expect a map of the city. This we find in Istanbul subway.

    I don’t really find it that bad…

    I remember what MVV in Munich did in 2001 (MVV is the city light railway sistem management in Munich). To honour Oktoberfest, they changed ALL signs from regular German to the Baverian dialect, everything ! Everything was written in Baverian German so nobody could read it, let alone understand it. It was a whole hell of a week really.

    I find this map somehow cute and hope there was somewhere another “normal” map :)

    By the way, who needs a map for a single direction subway ? :D

    Me neither, I really like it. There can definitely not be any problems for anyone to navigate in the Istanbul subway.

    If it seem like I use irony above it was only for the sake of the joke. But my main point was to show that nice picture.

    made me laugh out loud seeing the photo with your caption although I’ve seen the original thousands of times!
